My stay here and a few points
I stayed here for 2 months and it was a very pleasant stay. The Lodge is tucked away next to the church down a side street and is located in a very convenient area. The lodge is cleaned every morning by the house keeper; she cleans the bathrooms, kitchen, landings and front room. She also cleans your room once a week with a change in bed linen and towels. As well as this on the same day as the room clean, she will do a round of washing if you leave it in a bag for her. The rooms are simple, but very comfortable to stay in. Adequate wardrobe space for a guy - not sure for the girls. There is an electric radiator in each room as well as a telly. There is a desk and bed side table as well. The bathroom and shower rooms are kept in immaculate condition by the house keeper. The showers are very powerful and during my time there was never once a time when I was lacking in hot water. The kitchen again is kept immaculately, by both the other lodgers and the house keeper. There are 4 electric hobs and an oven. There are lots of crockery and utensils in the kitchen, so cooking here was no problem. Internet access is free - Wifi in all rooms. However on the top floor the signal was not very good, but in the topmost room, there was a LAN cable to use. Location-wise, the lodge is situated a minute walk away from the Eroski supermarket and in front of that supermarket, there is a bus stop where the number 1 bus will take you to the main train and bus station (Maria Zambrano). It is about 30 minutes walk to the station as well. The only minor minor problem I found was with the electric fuse. During the morning, when the housekeeper has the washing machine on as well as the dish washer, the fuse kept cutting out. This was also true if one had too many things on in the kitchen whilst cooking. through trial and error, we found that 2 hobs and the oven on was a no-no. However, that is a very minor point. Overall my stay here was very pleasant and I would come here again and happily recommend this place to other people who might be staying in the area. As a side note, if you are coming from the airport by train, it says on the directions page "head for Malaga Centro". However, if it is your first time to Malaga, this may be a bit confusing, for on the ticket machine by the train platform, there is no stop called "Malaga Centro". You have to buy a ticket for Maria Zambrano. I only put this here, for I got confused when I tried to get here.

Cheap, clean, convenient for everyone!
I ve stayed in MalagaLodge for 1 month for studying purposes and I highly recommend it for anyone who’s looking for a cheap, clean and convenient place to stay. I had been looking online for different options and I found this one as the cheapest. It turns out that you get more than what you pay and that is fantastic. The most important thing is that the house is being cleaned on daily basis. You can’t even realize that bathroom, toilet, kitchen and living room are common/shared areas. For student pilots: Free wireless internet, easy way of transportation to/from school, and nearby restaurants make MalagaLodge the ideal accommodation. Bus no1 stops outside the house (20 minutes ride including traffic). To go to the airport, you ll have to change bus (no19). Walk south for less than 1km and you ll find yourself in buzzing centro historico with a variety of things to do/eat/go/see! One of the most important things that made me come here was the excellent and efficient communication I have had with the owner. Mayte is very kind and friendly and she will provide you with all the information and help you might need.

nice guesthouse - very friendly Mayte :)
I was with my sister in this very nice guesthouse last month and we had a great time there. The guesthouse is very clean and quite and you are in a few minutes (by foot) in the historical center. Mayte, the owner of the guesthouse is a very nice person, who helped us with all the needs, we had. She is very friendly and reliable. Unfortonateley we did not meet her in person, but the next time, when we will come to Malaga :) Thanks Mayte for everything and best regards from Germany. Kadi & Nadia

Great Self Catering Lodge
>Malaga Lodge is a great place to stay, it was a very quiet spot and well situated. The place was spotless and what a treat to find a kitchen and a grocery store nearby. The room was quite hot and the ceiling fan did help a bit. It was great to meet Mayte, a very lovely woman. The only problem is that I did not have enough days at the lodge in Malaga. Next Time..... Thanks Mayte. Pauline

Trevligt boende
Bodde 12 dagar här i juni 2009.

| | Recommended for: Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Girls Getaway |

4/5 Gut, preiswert, zentral
| | Recommended for: Sightseeing, Tourists without a Car |

4/5 Great place to stay for city sites and beach!
| Date of Stay: August 2008 | My stay in Malaga lodge was great - it's tucked just behind the victoria church, so is easy to find and has all amenities close by (cafe's/bars/supermarket, etc). The kitchen area was very good, with separate fridge shelves/etc for all guests. The whole place is kept very clean by cleaner who comes in daily. The only negative is no air conditioning, which makes the room pretty hot in peak season. Granada street is only about 10/15 mins walk away and it takes about 25 min walk to get to beach. Highly recommended and at a great price. Thanks to Mayte for a great stay! Richard | | Recommended for: Sightseeing, Tourists without a Car, Adventure Seekers |
