Malaga´s Villages: Ronda

Now is time to know the famous “white malaga´s villages”. We are going to start with Ronda.

From one hour and a half from Malaga lodge by car or bus, we can visit that city in one day.

   Ronda is one of the most ancient cities of Spain which origins date back to the Neolithic one, where spectacular cave paintings have revealed themselves to his surroundings, as the famous Pileta´s Cave. Given his strategic importance, in Ronda lived Romans and Muslims, who left his stamp in the city, as walls, doors and arches that can be observed by the city. Prominent the door of Almocábar, of the 13th century, restructured by the Spanish emperor Carlos V.

Also it is prominent the Arabic baths that date back to the 13th century and that are in a magnificent condition of conservation. Located in the Neighborhood of San Miguel, this thermal enclosure, with rooms of cold, moderate and warm bath it is the best preserved one of the Iberian Peninsula.

As Monuments, we can stand out:

The new bridge it is one of the symbols of Ronda, together with the seat of bulls, of the city. Finished at the end of the 18th century, it consists of an arch of 35 meters of diameter and 98 meters of height that divides the city on a deep throat known as Ronda´s Ravine. From his balconies the sights of the houses hanging on the precipice they are spectacular. I joust to the side, the "Alameda del Tajo" is perfectly for a relaxing walk, an excellent woodland of the 19th century that offers the magnificent panoramic some of the Mountainous country of Round.

The Bullring: it is the most ancient of Spain and one of more monumental that they exist. It was inaugurated in 1785. It is possible to enter the square as well as his museum of the Bullfighting.
