Treking & Climbing in Málaga

Malaga is more than museums, theatres, culture, gastronomy and beaches. Also it is a nature, that´s why we speak in this blog of the “Pantano del Chorro”.

How to go?: the regional road 337 to Alora and there we will see sign for going to “El pantano del Chorro”. It´s about 35 minutes from Malaga Lodge.

The zone of the marsh includes zones where to enjoy outdoors; an enormous marsh, neuralgic center of the zone, where you will be able to take a bath and enjoy nautical activities, pine woods surround the marsh where you can make treking, zones delimited to do barbecues and impressive zones of climbing.

The route of treking el “pantano del chorro” passes for one of the most interesting paths of Andalucia. The way is across an impressive throat of stones stratified where there passes the river Guadalhorce. Inside this route, it is possible to come to several interesting points of landscape and historical point of view, as " el caminito del rey ", located in “el desfiladero de los Gaitanes”, a work of created engineering in order that the king Alfonso XIII was happening in his visit to inaugurate the marsh. It treats itself in this case of 3 Km from pedestrian step with some zones with less than one meter of width. His dangerousness makes his step more attractive.
